Crews reviewed how to safely establish and operate a helicopter landing zone during emergency incidents, including scene safety, approach and departure areas, communication, and coordination with flight crews.

On 06/06/2026 at 2145 hours, Mocanaqua Fire Company was dispatched for a reported water rescue in the area of the Shickshinny-Mocanaqua Bridge, Shickshinny side. Initial information was received from PSP Shickshinny advising that the report was unconfirmed; a caller reported hearing someone yelling from under the bridge and stated that a fisherman may have fallen into the river. MVFC responded with Engine 1 to the scene of a motorcycle crash on S. Main Street in Shickshinny Boro. Upon arrival, crews found the motorcycle down along the side of the roadway against a telephone pole, with EMS already on scene providing patient care.
