Motorcycle Crash with Injury
Mocanaqua Volunteer Fire Company, April 11
MVFC responded with Engine 1 to the scene of a motorcycle crash on S. Main Street in Shickshinny Boro. Upon arrival, crews found the motorcycle down along the side of the roadway against a telephone pole, with EMS already on scene providing patient care.

Crews Quickly Contain Firehouse Road Brush Fire
Mocanaqua Volunteer Fire Company, March 30
Engine 118 and Brush 118 responded to Firehouse Road in Conyngham Township for a brush fire. Crews arrived to find approximately one-quarter acre burning and quickly brought the fire under control.

Train Strikes Unoccupied Vehicle Parked Too Close to Tracks

Today was a reminder of just how important it is to stay clear of railroad tracks. This vehicle was parked too close and was struck by a train. Thankfully, there were no injuries. When you set your clocks forward, don’t forget to replace the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms.
