Crews Run | MVA with Entrapment β Route 239

Mocanaqua Volunteer Fire Company crews were dispatched to Route 239 between Pond Hill Mountain Road and Ruckle Hill Road for a two-vehicle crash with injuries. While units were en route, Luzerne County 911 advised of additional reports indicating a female occupant was entrapped and semi-responsive. Firefighters Respond to Reported Commercial Building Fire

Upon arrival, crews found no visible smoke or fire from the exterior. While investigating inside the building, firefighters detected an electrical burning odor and quickly located the source. The issue was traced to a leaking water heater that caused an electrical short and minor internal burning within the unit.

Structure Fire Response β Huntington Township
Mocanaqua Volunteer Fire Company,, January 16
Mocanaqua Fire Company was dispatched as part of the first alarm assignment to Huntington Township for a reported structure fire.
Upon arrival, Engine 118 (E118) was assigned to position behind Tanker 145 and establish a dump site to support water supply operations for the initial attack engine. The crew of E118 assisted with fire extinguishment and overhaul operations.
