Mocanaqua Fire Company Engine 118 was dispatched as mutual aid into Union Township for an electrical wire down on fire caused by a fallen tree.

Upon arrival, E118 found an active fire in the roadway caused by arcing power lines. The crew immediately secured the scene, closing the roadway in both directions. The electric utility company was notified, and PennDOT was advised due to damage to the roadway surface.

Company personnel remained on scene until the arrival of UGI. Crews assisted PennDOT by providing water for extinguishment as they excavated and cooled the affected area. No further fire department services were required, and the scene was turned over to utility and transportation officials.
